Hei bare,
I have looked at your site so many times I just love it.
What I like about your site is the Rosemaling. It must of took a long time to learn it or did someone teach you?

Take care
Heidi

Sandra nee Peters says...
My grandfather was Vincent Hoboldt Birkegaard Peters born NZ his dad was Andreas Peter Birkegaard born Copenhagen married 1866 Thisted to Antoinette Vilhelmine Neilsen.
I have the whole Birkegaard tree to way back in Denmark.
THEY sailed to Napier NZ 1872

Nice to meet you Sandra and wonderful that you have so much information already. I have extensive information about the family from G/g/g/gr father Christian Peder Birk, and further back, who I believe was your g/grandfather's grandfather. My information comes from a distant cousin who lives in Denmark, related to the Birch's. I am happy to share information and am always interested in getting to know another Danish relative. i have included my home email for us to correspond with. Is there anything specific that I might have that you would like? I am interested in the stories about the old relatives lives, and of course any photographs you may or may not have ( only photos of older generations, not living persons). If you wish to discuss more, drop me an email. Kind regards, Amanda

Hello Amanda,
I have just seen your message on the hardanger group and could not resist to look at your website. I have only been here a little while AND I LOVE IT. I live in Holland and have done some folk art painting in the past I still would like to learn and do more. But We have very few teachers here. And I have not the time at the moment. I will come back to your site I promise to do it justice. Thank you for putting it on the web. See you later Gerry Haines-Oomen

I found your web site while I was researching the Danish Folke art called almuemaleri.
Being of Danish ancestry, are you familiar with this? Is there any place on the internet that shows photos of this type of art?
